My name is Wade Ashby and I own Executive Home Inspections LLC. I became interested in home inspections after buying my home about 10 years ago. It is a large house with an indoor pool and was purchased without a home inspection. Within the first few years, I had to replace the furnace, add insulation, re-wire, fix the plumbing, replace the pool filter and heater, and repair other deficiencies. I spent thousands of dollars on this home in the first couple of years that I did not anticipate. At that point, I took an inspection class and started doing inspections part time.
Over most of my adult life, I painted high-end European cars and know what it takes to please detail oriented people. My hobbies include mostly mechanical things including old British cars, bikes and Harley Davidson motorcycles. I am a member of the Utah British Bike Club, British Motor Club of Utah, and Harley Owners Group. My newest and favorite interest is my grandchildren.
I decided to specialize in home inspections full time when it became apparent that I needed to move on and have always been fascinated with the real estate industry. Performing inspections made me realize that there is a need for people to be informed about the condition of there new home and the inspection process gives them the confidence and the peace of mind to move forward with one of the largest purchasing decisions they will ever make. I started Executive Home Inspections to help others gain that confidence and peace of mind when purchasing or selling their home.
Think about it. It you spend $300,000.00 on a home, there will be about $18,000.00 in real estate fees and you still will not know the homes condition. For a few hundred dollars you can have a complete home evaluation with all components and systems checked and have a professional report usually the next day.
I am a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), the only association that requires each inspector to pass an entrance exam prior to applying for membership. Check the NACHI logo below for other information and membership requirements.
Knowing that "time is of the essence" when purchasing or selling a home, I can usually arrange appointments within a few days of your call. The average inspection takes 2-4 hours depending on the size and condition of the home. You are welcome to accompany me during the inspection or just come at the end. I will be taking a lot field notes and digital pictures which will become your inspection report.
